Position Summary:
Bridge Logistics Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated
Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Cincinnati, OH. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in the month-end and year-end closing processes, financial analysis, and maintaining internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Prepare and post journal entries.
    • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Account Reconciliation:
    • Perform reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
    • Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
    • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable transactions and assist with invoicing and collections.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Expense Management:
    • Verify expense reports for compliance and assist with budget preparation.
    • Conduct variance analysis as needed.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls:
    • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
    • Experience in the logistics/transportation industry is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications:
    • CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
